See Dr/need info. Left side of abdomen has the spleen, the colon but maybe pain radiating from the stomach, pancreas, others. We need to know the characteristics of the pain: severity (0-10) aliviating factors (eating food, antacids, vomiting, moving bowels), what makes it worst, what is it like (colic, stabbing, dull) associated symptoms ('fever, diarrhea, constipation, dissension, hard abdomen). What is your hx.
A number of things. Ok - here we go: gas, hernia, kidney stone, diverticulitis, stomach flu, shingles, abdominal muscle strain, constipation, ovarian cyst, mittelschmerz, urinary tract infection, etc, etc, etc. As you can see, the list is really long - if the pain persists, see your physician. Hope you feel better soon.
Sever pain in lower left side of stomach can't eat food but can get fluids in. Very malnourished, and have lost 20lbs in 2 months. Please help?
See MD. Would need further medical and family history, diet, medications, more details of your symptoms, and what work up you have had - happy to consult. But you should follow up with your local doctor soon with such alarming weight loss and pain I f unintentional.
Depends. On quality and character of pain. I suspect this was for diverticulitis perforation with colostomy and then takedown? You could have same thing happen again if the pain is constant, sharp and steady esp with fever or chills. Other possibility would be constipation or adhesion. Need to call ur medical doctor.
I'm having pain in lower left side of stomach. I had a hystermaecy on july 19 2012 and I also have a bladder infection. Should I go see my doctor? I'm on medicine for the infection
Yes. You had surgery less than a month ago, you have an infection and you have pain. Go see your doc.
experienced a thick white/milky discharge, mild odor, sharp pain in lower left side of stomach, lower back pain, and weight gain. What could it be?
Infection. Infection is certainly possible especially if you are sexually active. Have this evaluated.
Anything. Most people think their whole abdomen is their stomach, but the stomach is in the upper middle or upper left of the abdomen. If your lower abdomen hurts, that could be your skin, muscles, bladder, uterus, or intestines. If the upper part of your abdomen hurts, it could be acid reflux, pancreatitis, or other problems. See a doctor for an assessment.
Broad differential. "LLQ pain" can be caused by lots of things & may indeed originate outside the GI tract. Further evaluation is in order before anyone can answer "what to do." your doctor will want to re-examine you as well as know the quality, timing, duration, location, & associations (eating, position, activity, stooling, urinating) of your pain to better direct the next appropriate testing & treatment.
See your doctor. Symptoms like these are best deterimed by a thorough evaluation by your physician. Based on his/her findings, a treatment plan can be developed to help you.
Depends on the cause. Most people think their whole abdomen is their stomach, but the stomach is in the upper middle or upper left of the abdomen. If your lower abdomen hurts, that could be your skin, muscles, bladder, uterus, or intestines (constipation, fibroids, etc). If the upper part of your abdomen hurts, it could be acid reflux, pancreatitis, or other problems. See a doctor for an assessment.
Having pain on lower left side of stomach along with dampness and the pain is also on the left side of my back?
Colon To Semicolon? You should think about Diverticulitis or a Ureteral Stone. Obviously much more information is needed but those are probably the biggies. But not all the possibilities, some of which could be serious (like Colon Cancer). So if you've never seen a doctor for this and you've had the pains for over two weeks, find a doctor muy rapido!
