In brief: Pkd

Adjust diet significantly.
Avoid saturated fats. Minimize animal protein to 30 grams per day. Minimize salt. Avoid caffeine. Drink 4 liters of fluid per day. Achieve ideal body weight. Do not smoke. Control blood pressure to 130/80. Avoid trauma. Avoid infection. Soy and omega 3 help daily. Taking ACE inhibitors can help and low dose statin can help. Taking tolvaptan can help but with side effect

In brief: Meds and PKD

If you have no hypertension or evidence of chronic kidney disease you probably need no medicine now.
See a nephrologist to assess your renal function now with a 24 hour urine for creatinine clearance and protein to see how good it is now.
