Why is it doc. That the patient suffering from plueral effusion after tube insertion to remove the fluid. For two days now still. Painful....

Some reasons. Pain in the chest in this patient may be related to the tumor. However there is some trauma from the tube which takes a few days to subside. But if the pain is due to the tumor, patient may need continued pain medication which i would suggest that you continue to use for now, as needed.
Takes while. Chest tubes hurt and the condition for which it was placed is better when the tubes are removed but certainly not healed. You will continue to have some pain and maybe shortness of breath for a while. Be patient with yourself while your body heals!
