In brief: Joint or soft tissu

When your physician evaluates you thing that will be looked for including joint pain, joint swelling, soft tissue tenderness, soft tissue swelling - all of which can help pinpoint the problem. Imaging including x-ray, ultrasound and /or MRI might be necessary and laboratory findings help also.

There can be several cause.
It can be as simple as a poor quality mattress and can be relieved with getting a new one. It can be related to arthritis, alcohol intake, a hormonal imbalance or related to drugs. Depending on your age, the causes may change. You should have a physical. But start by evaluating your diet, exercise, weight (obesity is a cause), and sleep patterns.

Agree but which joints, is it only joints, where in the anatomy you are aching. Morning stiffness is an important symptom in inflammatory arthritis - suggesting such diagnoses as rheumatoid arthritis, a CTD or it may be Polymyalgia Rheumatica in an older adult. We consider a variety of possibilities in this setting.
