Two ideas. 1) try a 30 minute walk before a meal. You'll find that you're better able to cut down on your portion sizes. 2) have a piece of fruit or a piece of whole grain bread 30 minutes before a meal. This may also help you feel a little more satisfied.
Exercise. Exercise and eating right are the best. Decreasing simple sugars also helps.
