Has it the same impact for your health to smoke 4 or 10 cigarretes?

In brief: All smoking is bad
Even a few cigarettes a day are harmful.
Cigarettes have many carcinogens and also have effects on the heart and circulatory system. Having said that, the effect is dose-dependant to some extent. We advise you to stop smoking altogether, but if you can't for some reason, cutting the number of cigarettes per day will help you. But work with your doc to stop completely.

In brief: Not Really
The more you smoke, the more you are exposed to smoking damage and carcinogens exposure.
You really increase your risks of lung diseases such as emphysema, bronchitis, lung cancer, coronary disease and so on, besides you get more nicotine addiction and it can get even more difficult to quit smoking.

In brief: The more, the worse
The more cigarettes you smoke, the more you are exposing your lungs to all of the toxins contained in them. Cutting back from 10 to 4 cigarettes a day is a good idea; i encourage you to do so.
That will bring you one step closer to quitting altogether one day. You might consider discussing nicotine replacement therapy (like the patch) with your doctor, which can help make quitting easier.
