Pain swelling. This is a common procedure. You usually will get some swelling (ice) and pain that can be managed with tylenol (acetaminophen) or motrin. If pain is more severe your surgeon may give you a mild narcotic. Complications are always possible, for which if you want details please ask your surgeon. Good luck!
Pain relief. The pain is usually self limiting and your oral surgeon should be able to adequately control your pain with over the counter and possibly prescriptive medications.
