In brief: UTI too often

Yes. Often there is an underlying problem. It is a good idea to see your doctor or a urologist to help determine the cause and help you with prevention.

It is recommended that you get a kidney imaging study and telescope study in the bladder (cystoscopy) to evaluate your anatomy for blockage, retention of urine, scarring, stones, etc.

In brief: Bladder or stones

Recurrent UTI can be due to incomplete bladder emptying, kidney stones, urinary tract strictures etc.
