Im trying to lose 20lbs (im 170 5'5 37yrs old) im on a 1, 080 calorie a day diet. 1 hr. A day cardo/ weights. Why have I gained 3 lbs in past 10 days?

How much weight training are you doing? As muscle weighs more than fat, you may be building muscle and although your percent body fat would be declining, your weight could potentially be increasing.
Other factors that could contribute to weight gain over a 10 day period could be water weight from your menstrual cylce. Lastly, you need to check thyroid and other hormone levels.

Studies show that for weight loss, stick to only about 150minute/week. When people do more, they eat too much. Also make sure you are drinking enough water. You must increase water mass to lose body fat

One can't tell exactly but what was your baseline Lean/Fat ratio and percentage of lean body mass, water and fat? Without those figures it is very difficult to determine what your increased weight is owing to.
