In brief: Should wait

If you are recovering after an infection, you may be on antibiotics as well.
Ideally, one should let the body recover from such attacks such as tonsillitis. Too strenouus of a workout can suppress your immune system, and cause a relapse.

In brief: Fever = caution flag

Your body creates fever as both a barrier to germ growth & an effort to increase blood flow & oxygen for healing.
A strenuous workout would interfere with an already taxed system & could predispose u to heat related illness(heat stroke). As much as u want to keep up with your workouts, caution is appropriate. I'd suggest a light wo, regular self checks of body temp & stop if temp increases >99.5.
