In brief: Many causes and RX.

Leg swelling is a common complaint with many causes including problems with the heart, lungs or kidneys, as well as medications, lymphedema, dvt, cellulitis, venous insufficiency and a host of other issues.
There is also a difference in cause if the swelling is one side or bilateral. There are many treatments for swelling but the first step is to identify the cause. See a vein specialist or md.

In brief: Possibly

This can be a sign of a clot in one of the deep veins of your leg.
If your swollen leg hurts, it is painful to walk or touch your leg, or the swelling is pronounced, i suggest you get evaluated for a deep venous thrombosis(dvt). This can be potentially life threatening so please seek care quickly if appropriate.

In brief: Yes

Most of the time, swelling in pregnancy is normal and a result of the increase in blood volume during pregnancy.
However swelling in one leg can be the result of a deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or a blood clot in the vein of the leg. It is more concerning if there is redness, warmth or pain. You should call your doctor if your swelling is just in one leg or has any other symptoms with it.
