In brief: Dizzy -- Many Causes

Dizzy for four days -- what else has been going on? There are many causes of "dizziness".
Most have to do with alterations in blood flow to the brain, a recent viral illness, alterations in heart rhythm, changes in blood pressure, and electrolyte abnormalities. A few causes involve your inner ears. If you are experiencing no numbness, tingling, speech changes, visual changes, give it a few days.

In brief: Labyrinthitis

There are many reasons for this but most likely you many have viral labyrinthitis which can cause acute onset of vertigo.
Treatment is rest, plenty of fluids and sometimes medications like meclizine. If could also be bpv (benigh positional vertigo) in which case certain head turning exercises may help. Finally it could be something serious as a cerebellar stroke so please see your doctor.
