If you have too much histamine in your body, does it make you feel ill? I have random hives that come and go, what is the best treatment?

In brief: Not too much

It is not a problem with too much histamine, but the release of histamine that can cause problems.
Some people get recurrent hives and it is often treated by using antihistamines. You might want to see an allergist to see if they can find the cause so that you can eliminate it. Sometimes no direct cause can be found and you just have to deal with the hives with medications.
