How long does shingles rash last?

Shingles . Most cases of shingles last 3 to 5 weeks. Usually 1 to 5 days after one experiences pain/burning in a specific area, a rash with blisters appears. 5-7 Days. Usually the shingles rash (and pain) may last 5-7 days but could be longer. Even with mild pain it is recommended to be treated with anti-virals to prevent long term problems such as post-herpetic neuralgia (long term nerve pain).
