Small lump on top of head (scalp area). Not painful but I’ve never noticed it before. Should I be worried? Could this be a sign of something bad?

In brief: Lump on head

Any lump needs to be examined by your doctor. Please see him/her. It may be a sebaceous cyst, which are relatively common, treatable, and not something to worry over. Peace and good health.

Agreed, I also suggest that to have picture with it with nearby ruler, so you can monitor it over the years. Many of them are benign (no harm) but agree must be examined by your doctor.
