I have what seems a slightly dislocated baby finger. Its the outermost joint. If I do get it x rated, what can be done?

In brief: Splint or surgically

"pin" in full extension for 3 mo without interruption.

You absolutely need an X-ray to check if there is a fracture in the bone or joint. Than the injury could be treated.

In brief: Important to get xra

Your injury could be a ligament injury, but is is unusual to have a "slight" dislocation.
I would be concerned that your finger might have a fracture. It is far better to get an xray now to get a proper diagnosis. If it is fractured, then it might need to be repaired surgically.
