Stimulant. Bath salts are sold over the counter. They contain a type of stimulant that can act much like methamphetamine, such as mdpv, mephodrone or methylone. These drugs can cause severe agitation, cardiac effects, and even delirum. Very dangerous chemicals. They also may not show up in standard drug screens. Many states are taking active measures to ban their sale.
Designer drugs. Bath salts are also known as mdpv and mainly taken through injection. Users may experience agitation, seizures, hallucinations, heart problems, and kidney problems. Some users may require prolonged psychiatric hospitalization.
