Had an MRI & on hospital report it said spinal stenosis with radiculopathy. Went to ortho spine surgeon, he looked at MRI & his diagnosis was cervical spondylitis and prescribed 2 weeks of PT & nothing else. Why two different diagnosis? Confused.

Both are present . Both of these diagnoses are not mutually exclusive and both of them may be present. It’s best for you to ask your physician how to interpret these differences. Physical therapy was given, to see if it’ll help take care of the problem. If not you will probably need further or additional types of therapy including injections .
