Presenting to er and diagnosed with Jaundice no hep or hiv/aids. Bilirubin elevated ultrasound shows liver is normal. What may be the cause?

Missing data. It would help if you provide more specific data when you post a question. If the Bili level is modestly elevated the condition may be a simple congenital defect involving liver transport enzymes. Rotor syndrome or Dubin- Johnson syndrome both produce occasional bilirubin elevations in otherwise normal individuals. Seek out a liver specialist for an evaluation.
Prehepatic cause. Conditions with increased destruction of red blood cells also can cause elevated bilirubin levels despite normal liver ultrasound.
