Could the inability to urinate be a common symptom of chlamydia in men?

No symptoms often. Most commonly men have no symptoms with a chlamydia infection which is why it is important to be checked if you have had unprotected sex. common symptoms however are discomfort in the urethra ( hole where urine comes out of the penis)pain on passing urine, a slight discharge from the penis. Occasionally testicular pain and swelling.
Pain with urination. Men with chlamydia may have pain with urination and a mucousy or watery discharge from their penis (urethritis). They could also have testicular pain, swelling or tenderness (on one side) (epididymitis). A man with rectal chlamydia could have bleeding, discharge or rectal pain. I am not aware of complete inability to urinate as a symptom.
