In brief: Not unusual
It can take weeks for that type of trauma to resolve.
As long as you are breathing ok and swallowing ok you should be fine. If you are having trouble with either get to an ENT doctor.

In brief: See your doctor
Your throat or "esophagus" is located behind your windpipe or "trachea".
Therefore, it would be highly unusual to experience throat pain after being physically choked. Suspect your pain is musculoskeletal in nature.
