33 y/o male, dont smoke, drink occas. 3 weeks have had a tightness/dry feeling in lower portion of throat, more so on the right side. Slight ear pain on occasion. Less noticeable when eating/drinking. Cant feel lumps or anything unusual. Gerd? Goblus

Otolaryngologist. I recommend a careful examination of your mouth, throat and ear by an Otolaryngologist. The ear discomfort may referred from throat pathology. These are not classic symptoms of globus hystericus or GERD. Anxiety can give one the sensation of a lump in the throat, but I feel that isn't the issue here. You may be deficient in saliva. I assume chronic mouth breathing isn't the problem.
