For the general population with out obvious risks, we state the upper limit of BP is 140 on top and 90 on bottom. There is concern even for BP of 130-140 over 80-90.
If one is diabetic we shoot for <130 / <70. If one is elderly and depending on health, we may let it run a bit higher. The age old BP number is 120/80. There is an art and a science to treating bp. If suspected, please get seen?
