In brief: Fissure or other
Many things can cause bleeding and pain.
Is the pain associated with bowel movements? Is there diarrhea? A fissure is a tear in lining of the anus and causes pain and bleeding. Hemorrhoids can also cause both. However, this should be checked.

fissures and external hemorrhoids can bleed and hurt. internal hemorrhoids usually are ascociated with painless bleeding. In either case no amount of bleeding is normal. You need to be examined by a colorectal surgeon or gastroenterologist soon.

In brief: Hemorrhoid
Generally, this is from hemorrhoids but you must get this checked out asap.
Other conditions which are more serious and not self-limiting will and can be unforgiving.
