In brief: Diluted

What does constipated mean to you ? Normal stool output can vary from 6-8 times daily to once a week.
Make sure you treat baby with help from your Peds, don’t do this alone!! Give about 1/3 to 1/2 oz prune juice half strength with nursery or distilled water daily until desired response, watch out for diarrhea if too good of a response. Once this happens, try to decrease prune juice schedule

In brief: Yes..but

A normal breast fed baby can poop a little every feed or have a cradle filler once a week.
Bottle fed babies are more regular & usually poop daily. If it is soft when they go it is not constipation. An ounce of prune or apple juice 1-3Xa day can help a baby pushing out rabbit pellets.

In brief: See pediatrician

Agree with Dr. Ferguson.
If constipation persists, do consult your pediatrician to rule out an organic cause like Hirschprungs.
Wish your baby good health!
