Does a normal EEG mean you don't have epilepsy? All my EEGs have come back normal however I still experience multiple tonic clonic and absent seizures

In brief: No

The EEG recording is a measure of your brain activity during the recording.
If a seizure occurred during the recording most likely this would be seen. Some events are not electrographic and not seen.

Your neurologist probably has had prolonged EEGs that hopefully recorded your absence or GTC events.

If unsure see an epilepsy specialist.
