Both knees started paining 6 months back. Pains badly climbing stairs, sitting down, bending. Took xray ortho told the space btw bones is narrow. No med?

"Narrowness" of the knee joints usually indicate osteoarthritis cartilage LOSS. There is treatment, steroid injections, Visco supplementation by injection and finally total or partial knee replacement.
You need to discuss these options with your Orthopedist!
