I had a sore throat and flu symptoms for about three days last week. Feeling much better now but have lingering sinusitis. Can I start exercising again?

Yes. I recommend you use a sinus rinse kit or Neti pot to clear the sinuses- they are great for getting rid of the residual congestion. If you are fever free and otherwise feeling well, you can begin exercising !
Yes. Try using gentle saline to encourage your sinuses to drain. Extra fluids by mouth may also help. Fever or facial pain/ swelling should receive medical care. All the best.
Sounds fine. You should be fine to exercise at this point. The nasal stuffiness may make you feel winded when you otherwise wouldn't, but there's no danger to exercising in the context you've described. .

My 7 year old daughter has had a sore throat and flu symptoms last week now she has a small pimple type rash all over her face I've looked online and?

Need more info. Most of the symptoms described sound like a virus and so it is hard to say for sure without more information or picture. If there is fever present right now and sore throat I would recommend seeing your doctor for strep testing. If the testing is negative then they will likely tell you to give fluids and rest and supportive care. Read more...

Perhaps. Many transient illnesses can cause your symptoms including flu, strep throat, etc. It is not as likely that your symptoms are due to an STD but I would recommend you get tested for your peace of mind. (For example, the chance of a male contracting HIV from heterosexual intercourse is 1 in 2500 exposures according to the CDC) . Read more...

Sore throat/inability to swallow + flu symptoms, but had to fly home on a 6 hr flight. The air pressure was agonizing. Loss of hearing now for 3 days?

See an MD. I would strongly consider seeing an ear nose and throat doctor after five days of such symptoms. There may be some actual damage to your ear drum or inner ear from the pressure that you experienced. They may have recommendations in the future to prevent risk of such damage such as benadryl (diphenhydramine) and sudafed... over-the-counter- medications available if you feel sick before flying. Get well soon. Read more...
