Yes. Vaginal yeast infestions are common, and are even more common in pregnancy. Monistat is one of the over-the-counter anitfungals currently available and yes it is safe to use during pregnancy. Gyne-lotrimin and vagistat (tioconazole) are also available and are safe as well. If these don't work (you may not have yeast), or if the infection returns soon after treatment see your doctor for evaluation and treatment.
Is I safe to use Monistat for yeast infection during pregnancy? Can I use it if the infection isn't confirmed by my gyn? Thanks
Yes and no. Vaginal cream Monistat is safe in pregnancy, however I would recommend only using it after your obstetrician has examined you to diagnose a clinically significant yeast vaginitis.
I'm 8 weeks pregnant with a yeast infection, is Monistat 3 ovules safe to use during early pregnancy?
Yes. Topical antifungal treatment is safe. Good luck!
