In brief: Not likely

The cardiologist will most likely rule out cardiac causes for your symptoms.
If anxiety is determined to be involved in your symptoms, a trial of anti anxiety meds may be used, most likely by your primary care doc or a consulting psychiatrist.

In brief: Can't say

Some cardiologists may be willing to prescribe an anxiolytic medication.
However, many would recommend assessment by a psychiatrist or pyschologist to verify diagnosis. I doubt that many cardiologists would continue to follow you to prescribe anxiolytic if there is no actual cardiac problem.

In brief: Anxiety

Not likely- if the heart checks out ok, then he will refer back to your primary care physician for anxiety medications if needed.
