What might be the cause for bleeding gums and bad breath for a 5 year old boy? (note: we do brush his teeth twice a day!)

In brief: Bleeding gums

Sign of gum infection.
Bravo for brushing his teeth twice daily. Have to brush for 2 full minutes by the clock with a pea-sized portion of fluoridated toothpaste. Must also floss him daily, can-t get between teeth with toothbrush. Important that your son be seen immediately by General Dentist or preferably a Pediatric Dental Specialist. Infection requires immediate treatment.
