Can you get pregnant with a subtotal hysterectomy I have part of my uterus and my ovaries and cervix still?

Sub total hysterect. A sub total hysterectomy by definition leaves only the cervix and not part of the uterus with endometrium intact intentionally. If that is the case and endometrial tissue/partial uterus is left, then you can get pregnant.

I had I guess what they call a partial hysterectomy (no uterus or cervix) I still have my ovaries. Is it possible to get pregnant?

Not really. Short answer: not possible. But, technically, if you have ovaries you can ovulate and therefore the ovum (egg) could get fertilized by sperm. However, there is no viable way for sperm to reach the egg and no where for it to go even if it did happen to get there. The cervix is the opening to the uterus, which is normally connected to the fallopian tubes where fertilization normally takes place. Read more...
Yes. There are reports of an ectopic pregnancy occurring after a hysterectomy, but that is rare and very unlikely. Read more...

I am haveing laparoscopic hysterectomy that removes only the uterus leaves the cervix in the ovaries he suggested I get my tubes taken out just in cas?

Not a bad idea. There is newer evidence that some ovarian cancers actually arise in the tubes so removal can be preventative for such. Also, this does not add significant risk nor does it add to your recovery. Thus, most suggest removal of fallopian tubes at the time hysterectomy is performed. Read more...
