I have had nasal congestion and postnasal drip for weeks now. I have taken antihistamines and used nasal sprays, with no luck. What can I do?

In brief: ?Allergic Rhinitis

Consider - chronic intranasal steroid e.
g. Avamys or Omnair
- non sedating antihistamine e.g. Desloratadine
- nasal rinses
- add montelukast inhibitor nocte
If not settled then for CT sinuses and ENT appraisal

In brief: Clarification

Is your anti-histamine a long acting drug?Is the spray you are using a decongestant spray or a steroid based spray?Decongestant sprays tend to give rebound congestion which worsens the problem.
Pre-existing allergies or a change in environment can also contribute to the problem
See your GP.He or she will refer to an ENT if required.
