Vagina is extremely itchy and super swollen and some discharge. Could this be a yeast infection?

Yeast? Herpes? These are typical symptoms of a worse than average yeast infection. Also consider genital herpes if there are any open sores or blisters, or if pain/swelling in groin, or if any fever, headache, etc. Also yeast doesn't usually cause fluid discharge, but initial herpes often does. See a doctor ASAP -- don't try to treat yourself for yeast. Effective Rx depends on starting very soon. Good luck!

Try an OTC "azole" This certainly sounds like a yeast infection. If you have had it before, professionally diagnosed, and the symptoms are similar, you can safely try an over-the-counter yeast medication. Look for active ingredient ending in "azole" (miconazole, clotrimazole, etc). All are equally good; you can choose the least expensive. See a doctor if no improvement after 3-4 days. Read more...
