In brief: Laser
If these are sunspots (lentigines), ipl is the most elegant treatment.
If they are seborrheic keratosis, cryotherapy or curettage will work well. Topical bleaching creams have a modest result and otc are minimally impressive. Best to have it checked to make sure it is benign and a dermatologist can discuss best treatments.

In brief: Dark Spot
Have you had the spot examined by a dermatologist to make sure it is a seborrheic keratosis ("liver spot")? Skin cancers can sometimes mimic these spots.
If it has been looked at there are other treatments that your dermatologist can do such as cryo therapy with liquid nitrogen or numbing the area and scraping it off with an instrument called a curette. Thanks.
