Would Amoxicillin treat Group B Strep vaginitis or cervicitis?

In brief: It's complicated...

Your vaginitis or cervicitis may have another cause, even if you had a positive culture for GBS.
This usually causes genital symptoms. GBS can cause other serious problems, like urinary tract infection, transission to baby during delivery if pregnant, and rarely bloodstream infection (sepsis). Amoxicillin is always active against GBS; persisting symptoms is evidence GBS isn't the cause.

Reply above edited: Original mistakenly omitted "no". That is, group B beta strep usually causes NO genital symptoms and may not be the cause of your vaginitis or cervicitis. Sorry for any initial confusion.
