In brief: HR 102

Some individuals normally have a high HR -has yours always been this way? Would check thyroid function, electrolytes, hydration, avoid caffeine, cocaine, energy drinks, alcohol tobacco, OTC medications with pseduoephrine/ phenylephrine , consider meditation.
May need holter to see rate variation, EKG check for WPW, POTS, echocardiogram for structure , f/u/ w /cardiologist.

In brief: Fast heart rate

If you have no obvious causes of rapid resting heart rate such as fever, hyperthyroidism, anemia, medications, etc perhaps an evaluation by a cardiologist is worthwhile for diagnosis and treatment.
An outpatient Holter Monitor may be examined and a beta blocker prescribed.
