If fsh and lh are in range, would clomid still increase testosterone in a male?

Clomid use in males. Clomid has been used "off label" to increase testosterone especially in males wishing to preserve fertility (testosterone products are not advised in these situations) Clomid should increase testosterone but will also likely increase FSH and LH as well. Remember - it is OFF LABEL.

What is the risk associated with suppressing fsh/lh when using Clomid (clomiphene) to increase testosterone in men?

High estrogen. Clomiphene is not ideal for increasing testosterone in men. It does not suppress fsh/lh; contrariwise it stimulates these hormones. Lh then stimulates testosterone production from the testis. Testosterone supplementation is a good choice if not interested in fertility. Anastrazole a better choice than Clomiphene if wanting to boost sperm production. Read more...
Clomid (clomiphene) increases LH. The use of Clomiphene citrate increases testosterone by increasing the lh levels and stimulating testosterone production by the testes. It also increases fsh ( thus it's use as a fertility drug for women) the only theoretic risk would be secondary to overstimulation of the testes, which in theory might increase the risk for testicular germ cell tumors, although i know of no diagnosed cases of this.
