Would an abdominal/pelvic Ct scan w/contrast typically miss colon cancer? I have severe constipation and pencil thin stools but CT scan was normal.

CT scan is not. best test for detection of small colorectal cancers. A sigmoidoscoy or colonoscopy is a much better test. You need to ask your doctor for proper referral if cancer is suspected.
