Difference between PVCS and SEV? I get about 1 or 2 that I can feel a day. Heart monitor showed they are SEV not PVCS. Cardio doc says I'm ok.

Harmless. Most normal people have some PVCs or SVEs. These are premature beats coming from the lower or upper chambers of the heart respectively. They are not indications of heart disease. I went to the hospital earlier today for some chest tightness. I was hooked onto a heart monitor when it beeped and said r on t pvc. What is that?

Shap of the QRS. So r is the top of the up and down narrow shape and the t follows this. This is the electrical activity that causes the contraction of the lower part of your heart. Not necessarily. It depends on the degree of arrhythmia, how many and how many in a row mostly. If the doctor says it is nothing, i presume it is read as none in a row and he is mostly right. Try to relax and if the medicine, you can tell is causing the problem, discuss it with your doctor for alternatives. Read more...
