It is the month of Ramadan (fasting), I'm eating broccoli and carrots and a lot of protein rich foods. When I pass gas it hurts and burns me? Help.

Need more info. It may be because of the rich foods you are now eating or because of rapid change in your diet for Ramadan. Your intestines may be having a hard time digesting all that protein and that will cause excess gas. Cut down on all the protein, try an over the counter product called Gas-X. Chew your food well and drink a lot of water. You might also want to apply a soothing ointment to the rectum.
