Norethisterone prescribed to help stop vaginal bleeding. Been bleeding for 3 months. Take 2 pills once a day x2weeks. Day 3 for me. How long it takes?

K. The usual dose prescribed to stop abnormal bleeding is a 5 mg tablet three times a day for 10 days. With that, bleeding usually stops within 1-3 days. Assuming you have the 5 mg pills, you may not be getting a high enough daily dose to have the desired effect.Review plan with Doc
