Hi. Pregnancy possibility if you had a tubal ligation and used plan b?

Life is full of... Life is full of possibilities. Thus, the answer to, "Is it possible for..." is usually yes. That said, women with tubal ligations do not get pregnant, unless they are very unlucky. Couples who use Plan B sometimes still get pregnant. Plan B is for emergencies, and emergencies should not happen at all or should happen rarely, such as once every year or two.

What would be the odds of a woman who had uterus ablation, tubal ligation getting pregnant when she/partner used perfect withdrawal and Plan B in 24hr?

Very little chance. Tubal ligation by itself has a failure rate of 1in300 to 500. Ablation, while not a method of birth control destroys the lining where the pregnancy would implant. Unless your ablation/tubal ligation was done less than 6 weeks ago i would guess the chance is more like 1in500 or less. I tell my patients no unprotected sex until 6 weeks out from tubal ligation. Possibility of a healthy pregnancy after 4 years of having tubal ligation? I heard (even from dr's and nurses), its highly possible.

Less than 1% Tubal ligation is considered permanent sterilization and theoretically has less than a 1% chance of pregnancy thereafter (since that was the goal of the ligation). Options for conception, therefore, include tubal "reversal" and ivf (which bypasses the blocked tubes). If a woman does conceive on her own after a ligation, there's an increased risk of tubal pregnancy. Read more...
