Better safe / sorrry. If you have chest discomfort which lasts for more than a few minutes and is concerning to you, you should seek immediate medical attention. Chest pain occurring with exertion is more likely to represent a cardiac condition. There are many causes of chest pain and some are not serious but coronary syndromes and pulmonary emboli can be fatal so please get checked out right away.
Reasonable concern. Chest pain can be a symptom of heart disease but may be may other things such as esophageal spasms, great vessel disease, respiratory disorders (asthma, COPD, bronchitis, infections), and muscle problems to name a few. It really depends on the clinical situation and other symptoms you may be having. It may be of a serious nature and you should discuss it with your doctor.
