Coughing fits, Runny nose and sneezing. Common cold? My chest hurts when I move certain ways. Could it be muscular or from lungs? No fever either.

I'm having a dry cough, and runny nose and it feels like my chest is congested. Is this a common cold? Will OTC medicine work?
Common Cold. If your dry cough persists for a while (4-6 weeks) this could be secondary to inflammation in your upper airway or lungs subsequent to the common cold viruses or post nasal drip syndrome, in both these cases a short course of inhaled broncho dilators like albuterol might be useful (this is not OTC). Been having a bad cough producing mucus and sever chest discomfort/ pain. No fever. Runny nose. Could it be acute bronchitis?
Yes. It sounds like you have viral bronchitis. Most cases of bronchitis are caused by respiratory viruses that do not respond to antibiotics. More severe and prolonged cases are usually bacterial bronchitis caused by strep. Pneumoniae, hemophilus sp. And moraxella sp.
