I had my contraceptive implant removed 3 months ago and still have not had a period?

Not yet ovulation. Especially If you had very irregular cycles before the implant , you may not have normal periods for a long long time after removal. Yet if you have premenstrual symptoms chances your periods will be in soon(2 weeks?) or you can be pregnant before even have a period the implants sometimes dried up your uterus lining so much that will take awhile to grow back with the help of you hormones.

Yes. Since you had your contraceptive implant removed so that you can try to conceive, now's a good time to start practicing! More importantly, have fun! Do check in w/your Family Doc & OB to be sure that you're as healthy as possible. Stop drinking any alcohol and start taking Folic Acid. Eat healthy foods, exercise regularly, and get plenty of rest (or as much as baby #1 will allow). Read more...

I am not sure if my contraceptive implant is working as since I had it in I have never had a period and now that's me started getting them?

Common. One of the side effects of implants is irregularly irregular periods meaning there is no predictable pattern to the bleeding. You can bleed every day for awhile then not bleed for awhile then bleed once a week for awhile. There is no pattern to it. That does not mean the implant isn't working. Read more...

Hi I have the contraceptive implant. I have had my period but I still have old blood two weeksafter. I had the coil for 5 years aswell. Is this ok?

Common. Birth control impants such as Nexplanon contain Progesterone only. Irregular bleeding is a common side effect of Progesterone only methods. The endometrial lining is thinned out by the chronic Progesterone exposure. Without Estrogen to counter balance it bleeding can occur at times. This does mean the method is not working. Read more...
