Does a z pack treat gonorrhea or chlamydia?

Yes and no. The medication in a z-pack, azithromycin, is the drug of choice for chlamydia. However, it is supposed to be given as 1gm stat, i.e. Four 250mg tablets taken all at once. A z-pack is dosed differently. The recommended medication for gonorrhea is a muscular injection of Ceftriaxone 250mg x 1. You can use azithromycin 2gm x 1, but it is not ideal. .
One gram . One gram of Azithromycin treats chlamydia. Due to increasing resistance you need another medicine to treat Gono preferably an injection. Please see your doctor. Happy healing. Be safe! .
