Parts of my stool have bright red blood streaks on the outside. Stool is hard and slightly painful as it passes. Should I be concerned? Cause?

Hemorrhoids. Your symptoms are likely due to hemorrhoids, which are dilated anorectal vessels. Treat the pain with over the counter analgesics, cold packs to the area, and maybe hot sitz bath. The mainstay of therapy is to AVOID CONSTIPATION by: -high dietary fiber of about 30g day -increase volume of fluids, (non-caffeinated fluids) -over the counter stool softener (Colace) Please follow-up with your PCP.
Suspect hemorrhoid. This is something you can discuss with your physician but I suspect it could be related most likely related to hemorrhoid.
