Can having hep c cause the level of alcohol in your urine to be higher than normal?

Alcohol in urine. Urine "alcohol" tests detect alcohol breakdown products in the urine for about 80 hours after drinking alcohol. Hepatitis C tends to cause liver damage and would be expected to slow the body's ability to get rid of the alcohol. This suggests that it would take longer for the test to be negative. However, I cannot find any medical literature that tells how much longer the test would be positive.
