Plan your day carefully. Eat lightly and healthily. Exercise regularly. Take regular scheduled breaks from what you are concentrating on. Change locations if they are becoming an issue, or sometimes do that just for the environmental benefit. Remove distracting elements from your workplace.

Optimization of focus and memory: consider omega three fish oil, vitamin d especially if deficient, mindful meditation/neurofeedback, elimination of distractions - reduce exposure to video games, tv, phones, study early in the am - often optimal focus then, light box if overcast consistently, socialize/take breaks, time management, focus on mastery of the material rather than a grade, and optimism.
